Honoring a Hero: Shaheed Major Mustafa Trust’s Event in Memory of Major Mustafa Bohra, SC(P)

In a heartfelt tribute to Major Mustafa Bohra, Shaurya Chakra (P), who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our nation, the Shaheed Major Mustafa Trust organized a poignant event that touched the hearts of all who attended. Major Mustafa Bohra’s remarkable journey and sacrifice were commemorated with reverence and a deep sense of gratitude.

The event, held in Udaipur, was graced by around 200 individuals, including NCC cadets, Army officials, and notable guests such as Station Commander Brig Ramakrishnan. The program was a testament to the indomitable spirit of Major Mustafa Bohra and the unwavering support for our armed forces.

The day began with a “Run Along Fatehsagar Lake,” an iconic and picturesque location that seemed fitting to honor a brave soul. The run symbolized unity, strength, and a shared commitment to remembering those who have given their all for the nation.

Following the run, a solemn “Remembrance Meeting” was held, during which family members and fellow officers shared their cherished memories of Major Mustafa Bohra. Their stories and experiences served as a wellspring of inspiration for the NCC cadets in attendance. The environment was filled with emotion when Alifiya, Major Mustafa’s sister, recited a touching poem written by her brother. Tears welled in the eyes of all present, as they felt the deep impact of his words.

The culmination of the event was a “Wreath Laying Ceremony” at the martyrs’ grave. Wreaths were laid on behalf of Director General, Army Aviation Corps, Lt Gen A K Suri, and the Station Commander. The ceremony was a poignant reminder of the sacrifice and service that Major Mustafa Bohra exemplified during his life.

The founder of the Shaheed Major Mustafa Trust, Fateema, Major Mustafa’s mother, addressed the gathering with words of strength and determination. Her unwavering commitment to honoring her son’s memory and continuing his legacy served as a beacon of inspiration for all in attendance.

In a heartwarming gesture, the Shaheed Major Mustafa Trust announced the “Mustafa Scholarship.” The first beneficiaries of this scholarship will be two girl students, Madeena and Haseena, who are twin sisters studying at Rajkumari Ratnkumari Girls School in Jaisalmer. The trust pledged to take care of their educational requirements after they complete their studies until the 5th grade, exemplifying their commitment to education and supporting underserved communities.

The event was a moving tribute to Major Mustafa Bohra’s bravery and an embodiment of the values of sacrifice, service, and remembrance.
